Enjoy this video of the SIG45 sailing fast in pleasant conditions in the Bay of Cannes. The boat is very fast, and very smooth. The speed is amazingly easy to achieve. The boat regularly sails faster than the wind. In this video, the top speed on a broad reach is about 19 knots, in about 18 knots of wind. Upwind speed is between 9 and 11 knots. Note that there is virtually no spray and that the boat stays totally dry and calm even at these speeds. The boat has a very comfortable interior which sleeps 6 in three double cabins. In addition there are two heads, a large galley, dinette and nav station. The boat is designed by the same team (VPLP) that designed the BMW Oracle America's Cup Trimaran.
