My first Alaia,i went for a couple of days in the Mentawai jungle searching for the litest wood i could find.
After a couple of trips up river i found with the local tribe chief Haman a fallen 50 meters long tree.
We took a piece and went back to my boat to shape it.
It took me a week to shape it...and it one of my best experiences.
